Role Overview
EXL is hiring a Senior Executive for its Accounts Receivable (AR) Calling team in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and resolving outstanding and denied insurance claims for US healthcare clients, ensuring timely follow-up and adherence to defined Service Level Agreements. This is a full-time night shift position supporting US business hours, with weekends off.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and manage assigned outstanding receivables portfolios to ensure timely claim resolution
- Make outbound calls to US insurance companies to follow up on unpaid, pending, or denied claims
- Interact with insurance representatives to gather status updates and push claims toward resolution
- Prioritize claims from aging buckets to prevent revenue loss for healthcare clients
- Check and verify patient insurance information and update account details as required
- Post cash entries and process contractual write-offs accurately on assigned accounts
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly productivity and quality targets are consistently met
- Handle patient billing queries in a professional and timely manner
- Follow all applicable HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality rules during insurance interactions
- Escalate complex or difficult collection cases to the management team in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Graduation in any stream from a recognised university
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a BPO environment, preferably in US Healthcare AR calling
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- High-speed broadband internet connection at home for remote or hybrid work requirements
- Willingness to work the night shift (7:30 PM IST to 4:30 AM IST) with weekends off
- Ability to adhere to telecommuter and data confidentiality policies
