Senior Avaloq Developer

Role Overview Barclays is looking for a Senior Avaloq Developer to join our Private Bank Processing technology team in Pune. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize software solutions, driving innovation across our digital landscape. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop high-quality software solutions utilizing Oracle PL/SQL and Avaloq scripting. - Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define requirements and integrate business logic. - Conduct code reviews, promote coding standards, and share knowledge across development teams. - Stay informed of emerging industry trends and contribute to Barclays technology communities. - Apply secure coding practices to mitigate system vulnerabilities and protect sensitive financial data. - Implement effective unit testing to ensure software reliability, performance, and scalability. - Support location strategy projects to ensure they are delivered to plan, budget, and governance standards. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering. - Extensive experience in application development and Oracle PL/SQL within banking products. - Working knowledge of core banking systems (e.g. Avaloq, Finacle, T24, or BaNCS). - Experience working with UNIX, SVN, JIRA, Confluence, and Agile methodologies. - In-depth understanding of the financial services industry and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
