SAP MDG Functional Consultant

Role Overview GreatHR Solutions is looking for a skilled SAP MDG Functional Consultant to join their Chennai team on a full-time, work-from-office basis. The ideal candidate brings 7 to 8 years of SAP experience with deep expertise in SAP Master Data Governance and a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale MDG implementations. This role is central to ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance across the organization's SAP landscape. Key Responsibilities - Design, configure, and provide ongoing support for SAP MDG solutions covering master data governance initiatives - Manage and maintain MDG processes for Customer, Vendor, Material, and Business Partner master data domains - Gather and translate business requirements into effective, scalable MDG configurations - Configure and manage MDG workflows, business rules, data validations, and approval processes - Ensure enterprise-wide data quality, consistency, and adherence to governance standards - Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to deliver MDG projects and enhancements - Support data replication and synchronization between SAP and non-SAP systems - Contribute to master data governance strategy, process improvements, and best practices - Assist with testing, deployment, user training, and post-go-live support activities - Work closely with SAP S/4HANA or ECC teams to ensure seamless integration and data management Required Qualifications - 7 to 8 years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) - Hands-on experience across MDG Customer, Vendor, Material, and Business Partner domains - Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, data validation, and data replication processes - Experience in workflow configuration and data modeling within SAP MDG - Good knowledge of SAP master data management concepts and industry best practices - Proven experience integrating SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC environments - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to engage business stakeholders effectively - Experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation or migration projects is preferred - Knowledge of BRF+, Change Request processes, and Data Replication Framework (DRF) is an advantage - Exposure to Agile project methodologies and SAP MDG certification are added advantages Why Join Us This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact, enterprise-scale SAP MDG implementations and complex digital transformation initiatives.
