SAP MDG Functional Consultant

Role Overview GreatHR Solutions is looking for a skilled SAP MDG Functional Consultant with 7 to 8 years of hands-on SAP experience to join their Chennai team on a full-time, work-from-office basis. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP Master Data Governance and a proven ability to design, implement, and support end-to-end MDG solutions that uphold enterprise data quality and governance standards. Key Responsibilities - Design, configure, and provide ongoing support for SAP MDG solutions aligned with master data governance objectives - Manage MDG processes covering Customer, Vendor, Material, and Business Partner master data domains - Gather and translate business requirements into practical and scalable MDG configurations - Configure and manage MDG workflows, business rules, validations, and approval processes - Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance compliance across all enterprise systems - Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams on MDG enhancements and project deliverables - Support data replication and synchronization between SAP and non-SAP environments - Contribute to master data governance strategy, process improvement initiatives, and best practices adoption - Assist with testing, deployment activities, user training sessions, and post-go-live support - Work alongside S/4HANA or ECC teams to ensure seamless system integration and effective data management Required Qualifications - 7 to 8 years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP Master Data Governance - Hands-on experience with MDG domains including Customer, Vendor, Material, and Business Partner - Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, data validation, and data replication processes - Experience in workflow configuration and data modeling within SAP MDG - Sound knowledge of SAP master data management concepts and industry best practices - Proven experience integrating SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC environments - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities - Familiarity with BRF+, Change Request processes, and Data Replication Framework is an added advantage - Exposure to Agile project methodologies is preferred - SAP MDG certification is a plus Why Join Us This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise SAP MDG implementations and gain deep exposure to complex data governance and digital transformation projects.
