Job Description

Role Overview Venkateshwar Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Technician to join its clinical team in New Delhi. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a qualified professional with hands-on experience in respiratory care, pulmonary diagnostics, and critical care ventilation support. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in managing patients with chronic and acute breathing conditions within a hospital setting. Key Responsibilities The Respiratory Technician will be responsible for evaluating and delivering care to patients presenting with respiratory disorders, including conditions such as asthma, COPD, and other pulmonary illnesses. Day-to-day duties include administering prescribed oxygen therapies, operating and monitoring mechanical ventilators for critically ill patients, and conducting diagnostic procedures such as Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) and bronchoscopy assistance. The role also involves collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to develop and adjust respiratory care plans, maintaining accurate patient documentation, and ensuring that all respiratory equipment is calibrated, sanitised, and functioning correctly. Required Qualifications Candidates must hold a Diploma in a relevant healthcare or paramedical specialisation. Practical experience in a hospital or clinical environment with exposure to ventilator management, sleep medicine protocols, and pulmonary function testing will be an advantage. Requirements

Diploma in any relevant paramedical or healthcare specialisation 2 to 4 years of experience in respiratory care within a hospital or clinical setting Proficiency in operating and monitoring mechanical ventilators Experience conducting Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) Knowledge of bronchoscopy procedures and assistance Familiarity with sleep medicine protocols Ability to assess and manage patients with breathing disorders such as asthma and COPD Strong understanding of oxygen therapy administration Good communication and patient care skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary medical team
