Role Overview Himalaya is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead and support a team of Medical Representatives across the Vijayawada region. The incumbent will report directly to the Zonal Manager and play a pivotal role in driving regional sales performance, building strong market intelligence, and developing field team capabilities. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity suited for pharma sales professionals with a proven track record in regional management. Key Responsibilities - Achieve regional sales targets by monitoring performance against company objectives and initiating corrective actions where required - Assist the Zonal Manager with sales forecasting by providing three-month rolling projections on a monthly basis, covering unit-wise and product/pack-wise data - Guide Medical Representatives in preparing territory-wise sales budgets aligned with company guidelines - Expand market share by identifying and exploring new business opportunities within the region - Gather and relay market intelligence including competitor activities, customer needs, promotional effectiveness, and emerging market trends - Manage and strengthen relationships with key accounts to assess the effectiveness of company strategies and collect inputs for product promotion - Conduct joint fieldwork with MRs using structured pre-call briefings, in-call coaching, post-call debriefs, and follow-up sessions - Oversee team management including motivating MRs, identifying training needs, recommending career development opportunities, and monitoring leave records - Submit timely reports including weekly updates, tour programs, activity reports, monthly feedback, and expense statements to the Head Office - Coordinate pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities for new product introductions in consultation with field staff - Guide MRs in executing promotional campaigns, medical camps, seminars, and academic sessions within their territories Required Qualifications - Any undergraduate degree from a recognised university - 5 to 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales with at least a portion in regional or supervisory roles - Strong knowledge of pharma selling, territory management, and team handling - Exposure to therapy areas such as general practice, gynaecology, orthopaedics, or paediatrics is an advantage - Proficiency in preparing sales reports, expense analysis, and performance reviews Why Join Us Himalaya is a trusted name in the pharmaceutical and wellness space with a strong legacy and a people-first culture. - 5 to 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales - Proven expertise in regional sales management and team leadership - Strong skills in pharma selling, medical sales, and territory planning - Ability to handle and mentor a team of Medical Representatives - Experience in key account management and relationship building - Knowledge of therapy areas including general practice, gynaecology, orthopaedics, or paediatrics - Competence in sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting - Ability to plan and execute promotional campaigns, medical camps, and product launches - Graduate degree from any recognised university
