Operations Support Specialist

Role Overview Citi is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Support Specialist to join its core operations team in Pune. This is an entry-level role that plays a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day banking operations, from account maintenance and documentation management to client coordination and compliance adherence. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between operations staff, relationship managers, project managers, custodians, and clients. Key Responsibilities - Handle customer inquiries efficiently and manage escalated issues to ensure timely resolution and superior client service - Communicate daily with management on productivity metrics, MIS indicators, and quality benchmarks across supported business areas - Review and approve financial entries by providing written and oral communication to relevant teams and flagging incorrect entries for resolution - Facilitate departmental training sessions and assist team members with questions related to the Disputes process - Support a wide range of banking products and services while participating in ongoing Lean and process improvement initiatives - Resolve complex operational issues by applying established best practices and escalating where necessary - Assess risk appropriately in all business decisions, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, policies, and ethical standards - Support Pega releases and Continuity of Business testing, which may occasionally require weekend availability Required Qualifications - 2 to 4 years of relevant operations or banking support experience - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Sound understanding of the Dispute resolution process - Working knowledge of Pega and G36 platforms, CoB testing, and Trust Receipt creation and resolution - Strong analytical and independent problem-solving abilities - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - High School diploma or equivalent qualification Why Join Us Citi is one of the world's most respected financial institutions, offering a dynamic work environment where your contributions directly impact global banking operations. - 2 to 4 years of experience in banking or operations support - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Knowledge of Dispute resolution processes - Familiarity with Pega and G36 platforms - Experience with Continuity of Business testing - Ability to create and resolve Trust Receipts - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Clear written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and manage tasks without supervision - Willingness to work occasional weekends for system releases and CoB testing - High School diploma or equivalent
