Role Overview NTT DATA is seeking a skilled Medical Recs Coding & Transc. Sr. Assoc. in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to translate complex healthcare documentation into alphanumeric codes. You will play a key role in ensuring coding accuracy, resolving documentation deficiencies, and mentoring freshers. Key Responsibilities - Read and review clinical documentation to understand patient diagnoses. - Transform healthcare diagnoses, procedures, and medical services into alphanumeric codes. - Create uniform vocabulary describing causes of injury, illness, and death. - Assign standard medical codes to support billing and insurance processes. - Identify and highlight documentation deficiencies to improve records. - Play a Subject Matter Expert (SME) role in mentoring and guiding freshers. - Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure high coding accuracy. - Maintain flexibility to accommodate overtime and weekend shifts as needed. Required Qualifications - Minimum of 3 years of experience in US Healthcare BPO. - Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is mandatory. - Solid experience in E/M Inpatient coding and multispecialty procedures. - At least 1 year of experience navigating Windows PC applications. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. - Ability to work scheduled shifts from Monday to Friday.
