Manager - Site Reliability Engineer

Role Overview Macquarie is looking for a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer at the Manager level to join its global technology team in Gurugram. In this mid-senior role, you will play a key part in shaping the organization's reliability strategy, driving observability practices, and modernizing platform infrastructure across both legacy and contemporary systems. Key Responsibilities - Establish and improve observability frameworks using tools such as Grafana and Splunk, and define meaningful Service Level Objectives (SLOs) - Identify and proactively mitigate reliability risks in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams - Drive AWS infrastructure improvements and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions - Build automation solutions to reduce operational toil and improve deployment safety - Contribute to capacity planning initiatives and support platform modernization efforts - Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure high-availability and performance of production systems Required Qualifications - 9 to 12 years of hands-on experience with observability tools including Grafana, Splunk, or equivalent platforms - Production-level experience with Java, preferably using the Spring Boot framework - Strong foundational knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and services - Demonstrated ability to improve CI/CD workflows and reduce deployment risk through tooling and process improvements - Excellent communication skills with experience working across distributed, global engineering teams - Exposure to Kafka or event-driven architectures and job scheduling tools such as Control-M or Apache Airflow is an added advantage Why Join Us Macquarie offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where engineers have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on reliability and platform engineering at a global scale.
