Role Overview Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is hiring an experienced Mainframe Developer in Bengaluru. In this role, you will design, develop, and support mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and DB2. You will be responsible for batch flow optimization, checkpoint restarts, and ensuring application stability. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of mainframe experience. Key Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and upgrade mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM - Manage database integrations using DB2 or SQL Server and write complex queries - Monitor batch execution flows, configure schedulers, and handle checkpoint restart configurations - Implement GSAM file processing and optimize system resource utilization - Coordinate with support teams to resolve production issues and execute bug fixes Required Qualifications - Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe application development - Expert-level command over COBOL programming, JCL scripting, and CICS modules - Strong skills in database management (DB2/SQL Server) - Experience with GSAM file processing, batch scheduling (Control-M), and error handling - Engineering or Science degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields Why Join Us TCS is one of the world's largest IT service providers, offering stable career trajectories and exposure to major enterprise clients. Requirements

- 6+ years of mainframe development experience - Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and CICS - Good database experience with DB2 or SQL Server (IMS knowledge is a plus) - Expertise in Checkpoint restart (DB2/IMS) and GSAM file processing - Experience with batch schedulers and batch flow processing (Control-M preferred) - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
