Loan Documentation and Processing Analyst

Role Overview Citi is looking for a detail-oriented Loan Documentation and Processing Analyst to join its Operations team in Chennai. This is an entry-level professional role suited for candidates who have a foundational understanding of loan processes, documentation procedures, and banking systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong accountability, ethical judgment, and the ability to work independently within a structured loan operations environment. Key Responsibilities - Prepare, process, and review loan documentation accurately within a complex loan operations setup - Manage day-to-day collateral activities including booking cash transactions, processing payments, and inputting general ledger entries - Identify, investigate, and resolve problems related to loan documentation and processing with minimal supervision - Design and analyse moderately complex loan documentation reports to support management and control activities - Minimise operational risk by monitoring errors, adhering to audit and control policies, and recommending process improvements - Escalate and manage inquiries and issues related to loan processing in a timely manner - Interact directly with external customers and internal stakeholders to share or clarify information related to loan processes - Support a diverse range of banking products and services from a risk and control perspective - Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and Citi's internal policies Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification - 0 to 2 years of experience in banking, loan operations, or a related field - Basic to intermediate knowledge of loan processes, procedures, products, and services - Familiarity with loan documentation preparation, review, and management - Ability to identify, mitigate, and escalate risks and issues appropriately - Awareness of relevant banking policies, control measures, and regulatory requirements - Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills Why Join Us Citi is one of the world's leading global banks, offering a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth across diverse financial services.
