Job Description

Role Overview Apollo Hospitals is seeking a skilled and dedicated Lab Technician to join its Laboratory Medicine department in Chittoor. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of laboratory procedures and the ability to deliver accurate results in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment. This is a full-time permanent opportunity with one of India's most trusted healthcare networks. Key Responsibilities - Perform a wide range of laboratory tests across disciplines including haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, histopathology, and immunology with precision and attention to detail - Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure consistent, optimal performance - Prepare, document, and manage accurate records of test results and patient-related data in compliance with hospital protocols - Coordinate with physicians, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning - Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements at all times - Actively participate in quality control and quality assurance programmes to uphold and continuously improve laboratory service standards Required Qualifications - Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Technology, Laboratory Science, or a related discipline - Solid understanding of laboratory procedures, testing protocols, and clinical pathology practices - Proficiency in areas such as cytology, cytopathology, phlebotomy, and clinical biochemistry is highly desirable - Excellent analytical, observation, and problem-solving abilities - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team - Familiarity with laboratory information systems and modern laboratory instrumentation will be an added advantage Why Join Us Apollo Hospitals is a globally recognised leader in healthcare, offering professionals an environment that promotes clinical excellence, continuous learning, and meaningful patient impact. Requirements

- Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field - Knowledge of haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, histopathology, and immunology - Experience with quality control and quality assurance in a laboratory setting - Proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen handling - Familiarity with laboratory software and modern instrumentation - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented clinical environment
