Java AWS Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview Softura is looking for a skilled Java AWS Senior Software Engineer to join our growing technology team in Chennai. This is a full-time opportunity suited for experienced software professionals who have a strong command over Java development and AWS cloud services. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications that power enterprise solutions. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop high-quality software applications using Java 11 and above - Architect and implement AWS cloud solutions using services such as S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, EC2, VPC, ECS, Kinesis, and RDS - Create detailed design documents, flow diagrams, and component diagrams using relevant tools - Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework principles to ensure reliability, performance, and security of cloud workloads - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a SAFe Agile working model - Write and maintain scripts using Python and Shell scripting for automation and integration tasks - Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives Required Qualifications - 5 to 8 years of overall software engineering experience - Minimum 2 years of hands-on AWS experience across core cloud services - Proficiency in Java 11 or above as the primary programming language - Working knowledge of Python and Shell scripting - Solid understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework - Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment - Experience with Azure Cloud is an added advantage - AWS Developer Certification is preferred - Exposure to SAFe working methodology is a plus Why Join Us Softura offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where engineers are empowered to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies and make a meaningful impact.
