Java AWS Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview Softura is looking for a skilled Java AWS Senior Software Engineer to join our growing technology team in Chennai. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced developer with a strong background in cloud-based application development to work on complex, enterprise-level projects. You will play a key role in designing and delivering robust, scalable solutions on the AWS cloud platform. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications using Java 11 and above - Build and manage cloud infrastructure and services on AWS including S3, Lambda, EC2, ECS, RDS, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, Kinesis, IAM, and VPC - Develop automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting to support CI/CD and operational workflows - Prepare detailed design documentation, component diagrams, and system flow charts - Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles to ensure scalable and secure cloud solutions - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a SAFe Agile working environment - Support integration with Azure Cloud technologies where applicable Required Qualifications - 5 or more years of hands-on Software Engineering experience - Minimum 2 years of practical AWS experience across core services - Proficiency in Java 11 and above as primary programming language - Working knowledge of Python and Shell scripting - Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework - Strong communication skills for technical and cross-team collaboration - Experience in SAFe methodology is a plus - AWS Developer Certification is an added advantage - Experience with Azure Cloud is a plus Why Join Us Softura offers a dynamic, collaborative environment where talented engineers get to work on innovative cloud projects with cutting-edge technologies. - 5+ years of Software Engineering experience - 2+ years of hands-on AWS experience (S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, EC2, VPC, ECS, Kinesis, RDS) - Proficiency in Java 11 and above - Experience with Python and Shell scripting - Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework - Strong design documentation and diagramming skills - Good verbal and written communication skills - SAFe Agile working model experience (preferred) - Azure Cloud experience (preferred) - AWS Developer Certification (preferred)
