GCP Data Engineer

Role Overview Deqode is actively seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer to join their growing engineering team across multiple India locations including Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Gurgaon, and Kolkata. This is a full-time hybrid role open to immediate joiners or candidates currently serving their notice period. You will play a key role in designing and delivering robust, cloud-native data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. Key Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL and ELT data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform - Develop and optimise data warehousing solutions using Google BigQuery for high-performance analytics - Process and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data using Apache Spark and PySpark - Build automated, cloud-native data workflows using Apache Airflow and Cloud Composer - Work extensively with GCP services including Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, and related tools - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability across pipelines Required Qualifications - Proven hands-on experience in GCP Data Engineering with a strong command of BigQuery - Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and transformation tasks - Working knowledge of PySpark and Apache Spark for large-scale data handling - Experience developing data pipelines using Apache Beam and Google Dataflow - Solid understanding of ETL and ELT pipeline development best practices - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline - Familiarity with BigTable, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, or other NoSQL databases is a plus - Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer or Solution Architect certification is an added advantage Why Join Us Deqode offers a dynamic hybrid work environment where engineers get to work on cutting-edge cloud data projects at scale.
