Finance Associate

Role Overview The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Finance Associate to provide comprehensive financial and administrative support for our India operations in Delhi. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance, and cash management, helping to safeguard the financial integrity of our global conservation mission. Key Responsibilities - Maintain statutory books of accounts and ensure full compliance with Indian tax laws, secretarial standards, and accounting principles - Perform bank reconciliations, execute monthly sign-offs on Workday, and manage petty cash and liquidity operations - Record fixed assets in the register, coordinate physical verifications, and compile lease accounting certifications - Process vendor invoices, review staff claims and travel advances, and execute payment disbursements - Manage TDS, GST, and Provident Fund filings, including challan preparations, return filings, and reconciliation workflows - Support inward donations by tracking bank credits, logging data in the CRM tracker, and issuing tax certificates to donors Required Qualifications - Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree from a recognized university - Four to six years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, and statutory compliance - Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards, GST laws, and direct tax compliance - High proficiency in MS Office applications and Tally accounting and reporting features - Excellent communication and coordination skills to collaborate with remote teams Why Join Us At The Nature Conservancy, you will do work you can believe in alongside a diverse team of global conservation professionals.
