Consultant - Real World Analytics and Patient Data

Role Overview IQVIA is looking for an experienced Consultant to join its Real World Analytics Patient Analytics team at the Global Delivery Center in Bengaluru. In this role you will work with longitudinal patient datasets, electronic medical records, and claims data to deliver actionable insights that help life sciences clients make informed, evidence-based decisions. You will collaborate with global RWA teams and stakeholders across multiple geographies while contributing to process innovation and automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities - Analyze longitudinal patient data, EMR datasets, and insurance claims data to generate meaningful and actionable insights for clients - Deliver high-quality analytical outputs for both standard ongoing projects and ad-hoc client requests within defined timelines - Support onboarding and skill development of junior team members from a data and analytics perspective - Assist in project start-up coordination, creation of global programs, tracking documentation, and reporting frameworks - Contribute to center of excellence initiatives including process automation, Lean methodology implementation, and innovation proposals - Design and develop algorithms to transform raw transactional data into structured, summarized data assets - Participate actively in identifying optimal solutions for analytical challenges and serve as a technical or business subject matter expert Required Qualifications - Four to seven years of relevant work experience in analytics or a related field - Proficiency in SAS, Python, or R along with strong SQL skills - Experience creating macros or reusable programming components to improve efficiency - Sound understanding of programming frameworks, reporting processes, and data transformation techniques - Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a high level of attention to detail - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements - Experience working with cross-functional or international virtual teams - Team management experience is an added advantage Why Join Us IQVIA is a globally recognized leader in clinical research services, healthcare intelligence, and commercial insights, offering significant career growth opportunities across analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning. - 4 to 7 years of experience in analytics or data science - Proficiency in SAS, Python, or R programming - Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries - Experience with longitudinal patient data, EMR data, or claims datasets - Ability to develop macros and reusable programming snippets - Knowledge of data transformation and algorithm design - Familiarity with Lean techniques and process automation - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Ability to work independently and within global virtual teams - Team management experience preferred
