Billing Specialist I

Role Overview WebPT is looking for a Billing Specialist I to join our medical billing team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for successfully filing, collecting, and resubmitting electronic claims for physical therapy professionals. Key Responsibilities - Review, prepare, and submit electronic medical billing claims - Diagnose and resolve issues associated with escalated or problematic accounts - Identify exclusion trends, perform follow-up tasks, and resubmit claims when necessary - Ensure high first pass acceptance rates and educate the team on metrics - Adhere to strict healthcare compliance standards and all HIPAA regulations - Partner and foster productive working relationships with colleagues, members, and vendors - Perform daily clerical functions and support administrative activities as needed Required Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED qualification - Minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience in U.S. medical billing operations - Good knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9, and CPT codes, and insurance guidelines - Excellent time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced setting - Understanding of Medicare and Medicaid insurance rules and regulations - Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and collaborative team mindset Why Join Us At WebPT, we work hard and have fun doing it in an equal opportunity workplace. - High School Diploma or equivalent GED - At least 1 to 5 years of experience in U.S. medical billing - Solid understanding of ICD-10, ICD-9, and CPT coding systems - Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance guidelines - Capability to multitask and work productively in a fast-paced environment
