Associate Director - RCM Operations

Role Overview Optum is seeking a dynamic and strategic Associate Director of RCM Operations in Hyderabad, Telangana, to champion end-to-end revenue cycle management outcomes. Key Responsibilities - Lead large-scale back-office RCM teams of 300 to 500 FTEs overseeing AR follow-up and billing. - Own and drive critical RCM outcomes including cash collections, AR days, and denial rates. - Establish process excellence through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to minimize write-offs. - Collaborate with front and mid-office teams to address upstream issues impacting back-end outcomes. - Implement automation and AI-driven solutions to prioritize AR and predict denials. - Manage client relationships and lead outcome-focused governance discussions. - Ensure strict compliance with client SLAs, HIPAA standards, and internal controls. Required Qualifications - Graduate degree from an accredited institution, with an MBA preferred. - Minimum of 12 years of experience in US healthcare RCM or BPO operations. - Proven experience managing large operations of 300 to 500+ FTEs. - Strong exposure to the end-to-end RCM lifecycle and key performance metrics.
