Asset Servicing Operations Senior Analyst

Role Overview Citi is looking for an experienced Asset Servicing Operations Senior Analyst to join its Transaction Services team in Pune. This individual contributor role sits within the Asset Servicing job family and demands a strong command of corporate action processing, reconciliation, and client communication. The ideal candidate brings a solid background in operations within banking or financial services and is capable of managing end-to-end corporate action and proxy event workflows with precision and accountability. Key Responsibilities - Manage reconciliation and processing of positions related to corporate action events including voluntary and proxy events - Review and revise communications, notifications, and postings for corporate action and proxy events - Identify, capture, and summarise all incoming instructions related to corporate action and proxy events accurately - Notify clients of corporate action and proxy events sourced from vendor feeds and liaise with them to solicit timely instructions - Reconcile, organise, and distribute transactions related to corporate actions ensuring processing is completed within market deadlines - Liaise with depositories, agents, trustees, and issuers to obtain clarification on complex corporate action events and processing requirements - Track and mitigate risks associated with client responses, funding, claims processing, payment allocation, and corporate action processing - Prepare weekly and monthly performance metrics including detailed analysis of processing issues, system gaps, and potential enhancements - Monitor MIS reporting for processing accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of corporate actions - Act as the primary escalation point for problem resolution within the team - Assist management with system enhancement initiatives, provide feedback on business requirement documents, and participate in user acceptance testing - Develop and maintain processing procedures and oversee controls throughout the lifecycle of voluntary events - Contribute to client presentations and provide performance input on team members to management - Ensure all business decisions are made with due consideration for compliance, regulatory requirements, and the firm's ethical standards Required Qualifications - 5 to 8 years of intermediate to senior level experience in asset servicing, corporate actions, or a related operations role - 1 to 2 years of people management or team leadership experience - Bachelor's degree or university equivalent or commensurate practical experience - Strong understanding of corporate action event processing, reconciliation, and client instruction management - Excellent communication and diplomacy skills with the ability to liaise across internal and external stakeholders - Demonstrated ability to assess and manage risk while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations Why Join Us Citi is one of the world's leading global banks offering a dynamic and inclusive work environment where your expertise directly shapes operational outcomes across global markets.
