Application Support Analyst

Role Overview Citi is looking for a skilled Application Support Analyst to join its technology team in Pune. This is a mid-level role suited for professionals who can independently handle complex support challenges while collaborating with business and technology stakeholders. The position plays a direct role in ensuring the stability, quality, and performance of critical Citi applications used across financial operations. Key Responsibilities - Provide technical and business support to end users of Citi applications, addressing queries and resolving issues in a timely manner - Act as the primary liaison between traders, users, internal technology teams, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution - Participate actively in application releases covering development, testing, and production deployment phases - Conduct post-release checkouts and validation after application updates and infrastructure changes - Analyze applications to identify potential risks, vulnerabilities, and security concerns - Collaborate with development teams to prioritize bug fixes and improvements to support tooling - Develop and maintain comprehensive technical support documentation for ongoing reference - Participate in disaster recovery testing and contribute to stability, efficiency, and effectiveness initiatives - Assess business decisions for risk implications, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, policies, and ethical standards Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience - 2 to 5 years of experience in application support or a related technical discipline - Solid understanding of application support procedures, concepts, and industry practices - Basic knowledge of financial markets, banking products, and related business processes - Experience with problem management tools and issue tracking and reporting platforms - Strong analytical thinking with the ability to evaluate complex situations using multiple data sources - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey sensitive or technical information clearly - Ability to work independently with limited supervision while also contributing effectively as a team member - Familiarity with process improvement and standardization initiatives Why Join Us Citi offers a dynamic and inclusive work environment where your contributions directly impact global financial operations and technology excellence.
