Role Overview
Sabre is looking for an API Support Specialist I to join its growing technical support team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for Sabre Web Services customers, helping developers and client representatives consume Sabre APIs effectively. You will work under direct supervision to handle severity issues, manage customer relationships, and contribute to improving service level standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to developers building applications that consume Sabre APIs
- Validate XML files and schemas and reproduce customer scenarios to troubleshoot web services issues
- Investigate root causes of non-conforming SOAP and REST API behaviour and offer actionable recommendations
- Liaise with internal Sabre teams to resolve complex issues that cannot be addressed at the first point of contact
- Support ongoing efforts to improve service level objectives and customer support standards
- Assist customer representatives and internal Sabre employees with API-related queries and enhancement requests
Required Qualifications
- Background in Programming, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field
- Working knowledge of web development and online programming languages
- Familiarity with XML, SOAP, REST, or HTML is a strong advantage
- Experience writing clear and concise technical documentation or user guides is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as required
- Domain knowledge in travel distribution or agency operations is an added advantage
