Database Administrator I

Role Overview Sabre is looking for a Database Administrator I to provide critical operational database support in Bengaluru. You will own, track, and resolve database-related issues, collaborating closely with application and infrastructure teams in a 24x7 rotating shift environment. This role is perfect for a proactive DBA who enjoys solving complex performance, replication, and database security challenges. Key Responsibilities - Own, track, and resolve database events, incidents, and alerts within established service level agreements. - Monitor, troubleshoot, and set up Oracle Golden Gate replication to maintain database synchronization. - Perform daily reviews of service-related reports including database backups, maintenance, and monitoring. - Diagnose and troubleshoot potential constraints related to database integrity, performance, connectivity, CPU, memory, and disk space. Required Qualifications - Minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration and support focusing on Oracle versions 12c through 19c. - Practical knowledge of setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting Oracle Golden Gate. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification. - Minimum of 3 years of database administration experience, specifically with Oracle 12c to 19c. - Proficiency in troubleshooting performance tuning, replication, connectivity, and security issues. - Ability to support 24x7 operations on a rotating shift basis and handle on-call production support. - Excellent documentation skills for creating knowledge transfer runbooks and topology diagrams. - Basic knowledge of MySQL, MS SQL, and Cloud platforms is desired.
