AH Audits and Certifications Manager

Role Overview Aditya Birla Group is looking for a seasoned Audits and Certifications professional to lead and manage certified management systems, accreditations, and metallurgical laboratory operations at its manufacturing facility in Kerala. The role demands deep expertise in quality and environmental management standards including ISO 9001, AS9100, NABL ISO/IEC 17025, Nadcap, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO/IEC 27001. You will be the central point of accountability for audit readiness, laboratory compliance, customer qualification activities, and documentation control across all applicable certification frameworks. Key Responsibilities - Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO/IEC 27001 management systems - Ensure full NABL ISO/IEC 17025 compliance for laboratory operations including scope management and method validation - Drive Nadcap accreditation activities and sustain compliance with all PRI requirements - Manage all metallurgical laboratory functions including Chemical Analysis, Mechanical Testing, Metallography, Failure Analysis, and Heat Treatment evaluation - Plan, conduct, and coordinate internal audits across all standards and manage external certification, NABL, Nadcap, customer, and regulatory audits end to end - Lead product and process qualification for aerospace customers including preparation of FAI reports as per AS9102 and capability studies - Track all audit findings, NCRs, observations, and opportunities for improvement through to effective closure - Visit customers to understand their processes, applications, and quality expectations and provide inputs for customer-specific practices - Coordinate new product and customer development in aerospace and defense market segments and align plant quality systems accordingly - Develop, review, and approve SOPs, procedures, manuals, formats, and records ensuring document and record control aligns with all certification requirements - Upgrade testing laboratory infrastructure and build the capability of testing personnel to meet NABL and Nadcap requirements - Oversee calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment ensuring data integrity and traceability Required Qualifications - Strong working knowledge of NADCAP, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2015, AS9100, NABL ISO/IEC 17025, and ISO/IEC 27001 - Hands-on experience in metallurgical laboratory management and aerospace quality systems - Proven track record in managing certification body audits, customer audits, and regulatory audits - Familiarity with AMS, ASTM, and customer-specific material and process requirements - Experience in new product development and market expansion in aerospace and defense segments - Strong documentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills Why Join Us Aditya Birla Group is one of India's most respected conglomerates offering a high-impact role in a technically advanced manufacturing environment with strong exposure to aerospace and defense quality systems.
