Support Engineer II - Just Walk Out Technology

Role Overview Amazon Web Services is looking for a Support Engineer II to join its Just Walk Out Technology team under the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of physical retail and cutting-edge cloud technology, supporting commerce software services that power cashierless stores across the globe. Key Responsibilities - Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues affecting Just Walk Out store operations - Monitor and support distributed systems that have a direct impact on the end-customer shopping experience - Identify areas of improvement and lead projects to implement process enhancements - Collaborate with technology leaders to define and refine support processes for new and existing technologies - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing through documentation and whiteboarding sessions - Work on a rotational night shift schedule (10 PM to 6 AM IST or 1 PM to 10 PM IST), five days a week including occasional weekends Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline - Foundational knowledge of computer science concepts including object-oriented design, operating systems, data structures, and algorithms - Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays - 0 to 2 years of total professional experience - Experience with AWS services, networking fundamentals, and operating systems (preferred) - Hands-on experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems (preferred) - Familiarity with Unix-based environments (preferred) Why Join Us AWS offers a culture built on curiosity, inclusion, mentorship, and continuous growth, giving you access to world-class resources to advance your career while working on technology that reshapes how millions of people shop.
