Sr. Solution Engineer - Customer Service Proposals

Role Overview Siemens is looking for a Senior Solution Engineer in Chennai to create technical and commercial field service engineering proposals. In this role, you will collaborate with international sales channels to coordinate bid preparations and execute customer-centric designs. Key Responsibilities - Create technical and commercial field service proposals based on customer specifications. - Collaborate with Regional and Product Business Development on CRM pipeline management. - Coordinate the preparation of bid documents describing technical, financial, and legal aspects. - Calculate costs for service scopes and manage bid schedules, budgets, and team duties. - Guide proposals through Siemens' official Limit of Authority (LOA) approval process. - Hand over detailed project documentation to execution teams after contract award. - Participate in the improvement of bidding tools, processes, and procedures. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. - 4+ years of engineering experience in EPC, utility, or industrial corporate environments. - 1-5 years of project or field service experience in transmission/distribution products. - Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards for power distribution. - Experience using Salesforce and SAP for CRM and pipeline tracking.
