Software Engineer - Java Backend

Role Overview Scoutit is actively seeking talented Software Engineers with a strong focus on Java Backend development to join a dynamic and innovative technology team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-quality backend systems, resolving customer-reported technical issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of enterprise-grade software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and independently drive the research and development of new product features. Key Responsibilities - Develop a thorough understanding of customer deployment environments and deliver precise technical implementations along with corresponding unit tests - Own and drive high-quality resolution of customer-reported product technical issues in a timely manner - Deliver well-crafted defect fixes and new feature implementations that meet enterprise standards - Collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams to ensure timely release of product patches and hotfixes - Contribute actively to process improvement initiatives and innovation aligned with business objectives - Communicate high-impact product issues and customer feedback to the development team to enhance future product quality - Independently lead research and implementation of new products and product features with minimal supervision Required Qualifications - Proficiency in Core Java and Spring Boot with a strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming and design concepts - Deep knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Patterns - Hands-on experience in Backend Java development including REST API development and unit testing using TDD methodology - Familiarity with enterprise product requirements such as security, high availability, multi-tenancy, and scalability using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and SaaS platforms - Good understanding of version control systems particularly Git, along with experience in CI/CD tools - Experience with Linux and Windows Server operating systems for software development and troubleshooting - Working knowledge of AWS or any cloud management infrastructure - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills both written and verbal - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies Why Join Us This is an excellent opportunity for motivated engineers to work on cutting-edge enterprise software products and grow their careers within a collaborative and innovation-driven environment.
