Senior Systems Engineer

Role Overview Zeta Global is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to strengthen and support the infrastructure powering its global business operations. This is a critical role that spans data center operations, virtualization, backups, operating systems, networking, and security. The position requires a self-driven professional who can independently lead infrastructure projects and drive modernization and automation initiatives across a globally distributed environment. Key Responsibilities - Deploy and manage enterprise-grade hardware including gray market systems in large-scale data centers with support from on-site staff - Design, implement, and migrate infrastructure to modern private cloud environments - Build and maintain configuration management frameworks using Foreman, Puppet Enterprise, and Ansible for Linux systems - Improve automated build and deployment pipelines for both physical and virtual machines - Develop automation scripts and configuration roles using tools such as Ansible and Puppet - Write scripts to streamline and automate daily tasks for the Systems Engineering team - Perform deep-level troubleshooting across hardware, Linux, and Windows environments at enterprise scale - Lead and plan infrastructure projects independently from inception through delivery - Serve as a subject matter expert in designated technical domains and contribute to architecture decisions - Advise on data center best practices including power configuration, HVAC standards, and rack design - Participate in a 24x7 support rotation with periodic on-call responsibilities across time zones Required Qualifications - 10 or more years of Linux or Unix administration experience across platforms such as Solaris, AIX, or similar - 3 or more years of hands-on OpenStack engineering and administration - 5 or more years of VMware or equivalent virtualization engineering and administration - 5 or more years of scripting experience using Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python, or similar languages - 3 to 5 years of experience with system monitoring tools such as Check_MK, Nagios, or SolarWinds - 3 to 5 years of hardware management experience with vendors like Dell, SuperMicro, and HP - 2 to 3 years of experience managing configuration with Puppet - 5 or more years of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams - Preferred experience includes storage administration with EMC, NetApp, 3PAR, or Hitachi - Preferred exposure to F5 load balancers, AWS or Azure cloud platforms, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, and Ansible AWX or Tower Why Join Us Zeta Global is a NYSE-listed, AI-driven marketing technology company with a legacy of industry leadership and innovation, offering engineers the opportunity to work on large-scale global infrastructure alongside talented teams.
