Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Overview EdgeVantage is hiring an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join its growing team in Chennai. This is a full-time, work-from-office opportunity suited for professionals with 6 to 8 years of hands-on DevOps experience in banking, fintech, or IT product environments. You will play a critical role in maintaining the stability, performance, and security of production systems that power financial services operations. Key Responsibilities - Manage and support production environments for banking and fintech applications - Plan and execute application deployments, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime - Monitor system health, application performance, and availability using industry-standard tools - Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery - Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents in a timely and structured manner - Mentor and guide junior DevOps team members, fostering a culture of operational excellence - Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery - Enforce security, compliance, and DevSecOps best practices across the infrastructure - Design and operate highly available, multi-region architectures including disaster recovery and database replication strategies Required Qualifications - 6 to 8 years of proven experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role - Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services and Linux system administration - Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD and Docker for containerisation - Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud architecture design - Familiarity with DevSecOps principles including secret management, vulnerability detection, and code quality analysis - Experience in multi-region architecture design with disaster recovery and resiliency patterns - Exposure to banking, payments, or fintech domain is strongly preferred - Knowledge of MongoDB, HashiCorp Nomad, or messaging technologies such as NATS or IBM MQ is a plus - Understanding of PCI or SOC2 compliance standards is an advantage Why Join Us EdgeVantage offers a dynamic work environment where you can solve real-world challenges in the high-stakes banking and fintech space.
