Job Description

Role Overview Kaleris is looking for a Senior Customer Support Engineer to join their Chennai team. This is a full-time role suited for a technically strong professional with a solid background in enterprise application support. The ideal candidate will serve as a customer advocate and a technical leader within a global support team operating on a 24x7 model. Key Responsibilities - Troubleshoot and support complex software applications, managing customer cases from initiation through to full resolution - Investigate and reproduce reported faults using product manuals, Confluence, case management tools, and internal resources to deliver clear and accurate responses - Act as a customer advocate throughout the entire customer lifecycle, handling account management tasks such as case reviews and conference calls - Participate in a global 24x7 on-call duty roster to handle and resolve critical Priority 1 issues - Assist with project go-lives and provide technical guidance to the broader support team under high-pressure situations - Apply analytical thinking to identify root causes and drive timely resolution of complex issues - Travel as needed and work extended hours when business deadlines demand it Required Qualifications - Engineering degree (B.E or B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline with a CGPA of 7.5 or above - 5 to 8 years of experience in technical or product support (application support), including at least 3 years supporting enterprise software solutions - Hands-on experience with Java, XML, Apache, and client-server application environments - Familiarity with MS SQL Server, Oracle, and Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and J2EE - Knowledge of messaging platforms such as ActiveMQ or Kafka - Experience with diagnostic tools like Hyperic and transformation tools like Xenos or OpenText is an advantage - Exposure to container terminal, shipping, or logistics industries is preferred - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with a strong customer-first mindset Why Join Us Kaleris is an equal opportunity employer committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace where every employee can thrive. Requirements

- B.E or B.Tech in Computer Science or IT with CGPA 7.5 or above - 5 to 8 years in technical or application support roles - Minimum 3 years supporting enterprise software solutions - Hands-on experience with Java, XML, and Apache - Knowledge of MS SQL Server, Oracle, Spring, Hibernate, and J2EE - Familiarity with ActiveMQ or Kafka messaging platforms - Experience with diagnostic tools such as Hyperic - Exposure to container terminal or logistics industry preferred - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - Excellent written and verbal communication in English - Willingness to work in rotational shifts and a 24x7 on-call roster
