Role Overview HCLTech is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to provide comprehensive hardware and software support to our employees and new hires. You will manage asset inventory, resolve application conflicts, and deliver premium IT support to a variety of users. Join our team to maintain high customer service standards and streamline office IT operations in a dynamic remote environment. Key Responsibilities - Install, configure, and image operating systems on Windows and Apple laptops and desktops. - Troubleshoot post-deployment hardware, software, and application issues on computers and mobile devices. - Manage asset tagging, entering all incoming equipment details into the asset management system. - Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs, shipping logistics, and depot operations. - Resolve service requests and incidents, managing their classification, tracking, and completion. - Provide VIP IT support and conduct audio/visual health checks for executive meeting spaces. - Create and maintain weekly reports on physical inventory counts and hardware outflows. Required Qualifications - Three to five years of experience in IT desktop support or help desk environments. - Comprehensive knowledge of Windows OS, macOS, Microsoft Office, and imaging tools. - Strong understanding of basic networking concepts including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and printer queues. - Excellent customer service, organizational, and prioritizing skills for competing requests. - Valid driver's license, personal vehicle for local travel, and ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
