SDE II - Backend Engineer

As an SDE II - Backend Engineer, you will be part of a high-growth engineering team building scalable financial systems and smart algorithms for Bright's Smart Banking Platform. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend components for Bright's Smart Banking Platform using Django and Python - Build intelligent algorithms and subsystems for lending operations and financial communications - Devise quick and practical design solutions to complex engineering challenges - Drive data-driven decisions with strong analytical thinking - Take end-to-end ownership of tech systems and microservices Required Qualifications - 3 to 5 years of demonstrated hands-on software development experience - Strong foundation in first principles problem solving, algorithms, and data structures - Proven experience integrating and developing REST services using back-end frameworks such as Django or Node.js - Experience with High-Level Design and Low-Level Design for scalable software systems - Hands-on exposure to Python-based frameworks - Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases at scale - Ability to mentor peers through code reviews, design document reviews, and knowledge sharing - Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, 2+ years of Django development, experience with CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment on AWS, GCP, or Azure Why Join Us At Bright Money, you will develop cross-functional expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Finance, trained directly by experienced tech founders, and gain deep end-to-end knowledge of building a customer-first financial product at scale.
