Remote Python Engineer with FastAPI Expertise

Role Overview Turing is a globally recognized research accelerator headquartered in San Francisco, California, partnering with frontier AI labs and enterprises worldwide. We are currently looking for a skilled Python Developer with deep expertise in FastAPI to contribute to an innovative Reinforcement Learning Gym project. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and deploying scalable backend services that support RL experiments, simulations, and ML workflows. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain FastAPI-based services for experimentation workflows and simulation environments - Work closely with machine learning engineers to expose APIs for training, evaluation, and performance benchmarking - Write clean, production-grade Python code with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability - Troubleshoot bottlenecks and optimize backend pipelines to ensure reliable application deployment - Participate in the full API lifecycle including design, versioning, testing, and documentation Required Qualifications - Minimum 4 years of professional Python development experience with at least 3 years of hands-on FastAPI work - Solid expertise in REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and API lifecycle management - Strong grasp of software engineering principles including testing, CI/CD, version control, and design patterns - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline - Familiarity with NumPy, Pandas, and PyTorch or TensorFlow is an added advantage - Exposure to Reinforcement Learning environments such as OpenAI Gym, Gymnasium, or Stable Baselines is preferred but not required - SQL experience is a bonus Why Join Us Turing offers you the flexibility of fully remote work while giving you access to cutting-edge AI projects with some of the world's leading LLM companies.
