Remote Machine Learning Engineer

Key Responsibilities - Work with real-world ML codebases to support MLE Bench-style evaluation and benchmarking tasks - Build, run, and modify model training, evaluation, and inference pipelines for AI system assessment - Prepare datasets, features, and performance metrics for ML benchmarking and validation workflows - Debug, refactor, and optimize production-like ML systems for improved correctness and performance - Evaluate model behavior, failure modes, and edge cases relevant to benchmark objectives - Write clean, reproducible, and well-documented Python code tailored to ML workflows - Participate in code reviews to uphold high engineering quality standards - Collaborate with researchers and engineers to design challenging, real-world ML engineering tasks Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or ML-focused Software Engineer - Strong proficiency in Python for machine learning, data processing, and workflow automation - Practical experience with model training, evaluation, and inference pipelines - Solid understanding of ML fundamentals including supervised and unsupervised learning, evaluation metrics, and optimization techniques - Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or equivalent tools - Ability to navigate, understand, and modify complex real-world ML codebases - Demonstrated ability to write readable, reusable, and production-quality code - Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills - Excellent spoken and written English communication skills Why Join Us Turing offers a fully remote freelancing environment where you can contribute to cutting-edge AI projects alongside top researchers and engineers from leading LLM companies worldwide.
