Remote LLM Trainer - Agent Function Calling

This is a remote contract opportunity to contribute directly to the improvement of foundational LLMs by generating high-quality training and evaluation data. You will play a critical role in advancing AI capabilities by designing multi-turn agent conversations that simulate realistic user and assistant interactions using function-calling tools. Key Responsibilities - Design and simulate multi-turn conversations between users and AI assistants using tools such as calendar, email, maps, and drive applications - Play both the user and assistant roles in dialogues, including simulating tool calls and function-calling behavior where required - Carefully determine when and how the assistant should invoke available tools to ensure logical decision-making and natural conversational flow - Craft dialogues that reflect natural language, contextual reasoning, and intelligent assistant behavior across multiple conversation turns - Generate training examples that demonstrate task completion, recognition of infeasible requests, and appropriate general chat behavior - Ensure all conversation outputs follow defined formatting and quality standards as outlined in the internal playbook - Iterate on examples based on reviewer feedback to continuously improve realism, clarity, and training value - Collaborate with peers and reviewers to maintain consistency and quality across all deliverables Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a technical or analytical role - Strong general technical reasoning skills with the ability to model real-world assistant behavior through tool-based APIs - Solid understanding of APIs, data formats such as JSON, and logical problem-solving approaches - Excellent written communication skills in English, with emphasis on clarity, tone, and instructional coherence - Ability to break down complex tasks and simulate realistic dialogues that align with user expectations and assistant limitations - High attention to detail and creativity when crafting realistic scenarios and assistant responses - Ability to follow detailed guidelines and formatting standards with consistent accuracy - Prior experience with LLMs, virtual assistants, or function-calling frameworks is an added advantage Why Join Us This is a fully remote freelance engagement offering a rare opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside some of the world's leading LLM companies.
