Remote LLM Trainer - Agent Function Calling

This is a contract-based remote opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project with a foundational Large Language Model company. You will play a critical role in generating high-quality training data that helps improve the intelligence and real-world reasoning abilities of next-generation AI systems. Key Responsibilities - Design and simulate multi-turn conversations between a user and an AI assistant that uses function-calling tools such as calendar, email, maps, and drive applications - Play both the user and the assistant roles in each dialogue, simulating tool calls only where logically required to guide decision-making - Select the appropriate tools and function calls to ensure natural, contextually coherent conversations across multiple turns - Craft dialogues that showcase the assistant handling feasible tasks gracefully, recognising infeasible ones, and maintaining general chat when no tools are needed - Follow an internal playbook to ensure all conversations meet defined formatting and quality standards - Iterate on conversation examples based on reviewer feedback to improve realism, clarity, and training value - Collaborate with peers and reviewers to maintain consistency and high deliverable quality Required Qualifications - At least 3 years of professional experience in a technical or analytical role - Strong general technical reasoning skills with the ability to model real-world assistant behaviour using tool-based APIs - Solid understanding of APIs, data formats such as JSON, and logical reasoning regardless of programming language or stack - Excellent written communication skills in English with a focus on clarity, tone, and instructional coherence - Creativity and attention to detail when crafting realistic dialogue scenarios - Ability to follow detailed guidelines and formatting standards consistently - Prior experience working with LLMs, virtual assistants, or function-calling frameworks is an added advantage Why Join Us Join Turing as a freelance contributor and gain hands-on experience working on cutting-edge AI projects alongside some of the most advanced LLM companies in the world.
