Remote LLM Trainer - Agent Function Call

Role Overview Turing is a rapidly growing AI company that partners with leading foundational LLM organisations to improve frontier model capabilities. This remote contract role involves generating high-quality proprietary training data to help these companies fine-tune and benchmark their large language models. As an LLM Trainer specialising in Agent Function Calls, you will simulate realistic multi-turn conversations between users and AI assistants that leverage function-calling tools such as calendar, email, maps, and drive applications. Key Responsibilities - Design and craft multi-turn dialogues that simulate natural interactions between users and AI assistants across real-world tool-use scenarios - Play both the user and the assistant roles, including simulating tool calls and function invocations at appropriate decision points - Apply logical reasoning to determine when and how the assistant should use available tools, ensuring coherent and accurate conversation flow - Generate diverse examples demonstrating the assistant's ability to complete feasible tasks, identify infeasible ones, and maintain meaningful general chat without tools - Ensure all generated conversations strictly follow defined formatting and quality guidelines as outlined in the internal playbook - Iterate and refine conversation samples based on reviewer feedback to improve realism, instructional value, and training quality - Collaborate with peers and reviewers to uphold consistency and high standards across all deliverables Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a technical or analytical field - Strong general technical reasoning skills with the ability to model real-world assistant behaviour using tool-based APIs - Solid understanding of APIs, data formats such as JSON, and logical thinking across various programming languages or tech stacks - Excellent written English communication skills with emphasis on clarity, tone, and instructional coherence - Creativity and attention to detail in building realistic conversational scenarios - Experience with LLMs, virtual assistants, or function-calling frameworks is an added advantage - Ability to consistently follow detailed guidelines and formatting standards Why Join Us This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside some of the world's most influential LLM companies, all from the comfort of a fully remote setup.
