Remote LLM Trainer - Agent Function Call

This contract role involves contributing to high-quality proprietary data generation that helps fine-tune and benchmark large language models. You will play a key role in improving how AI assistants handle complex, multi-step tasks using function-calling tools across everyday applications. Key Responsibilities - Design and simulate multi-turn conversations between users and AI assistants using tools such as calendar, email, maps, and drive applications - Play both the user and assistant roles in dialogues, incorporating tool calls and function usage where logically appropriate - Craft realistic, contextually aware conversations that showcase natural language understanding, intelligent task reasoning, and graceful handling of both feasible and infeasible user requests - Ensure all generated conversation examples follow defined formatting, quality, and playbook guidelines - Iterate on dialogue samples based on reviewer feedback to improve realism, clarity, and training value - Collaborate with peers and reviewers to maintain consistency and high-quality standards across deliverables Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a technical or analytical field - Strong understanding of APIs, data formats such as JSON, and logical task decomposition - Experience with any programming language or tech stack is acceptable; conceptual grasp of function-calling frameworks matters more than specific tools - Excellent written English communication skills with a focus on tone, clarity, and instructional quality - Creativity and attention to detail when crafting realistic AI interaction scenarios - Prior exposure to LLMs, virtual assistants, or function-calling frameworks is an added advantage - Ability to follow detailed guidelines and maintain high formatting consistency Why Join Us This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the advancement of cutting-edge AI systems while working fully remotely on a flexible contractor basis. - 3+ years of experience in a technical or analytical role - Strong reasoning skills and ability to simulate real-world assistant behavior - Solid understanding of APIs and data formats including JSON - Experience with any programming language or technology stack - Excellent written communication skills in English - Ability to design multi-turn conversational AI scenarios - Familiarity with LLMs, virtual assistants, or function-calling frameworks is a plus - Ability to follow structured guidelines with high consistency - Availability of at least 20 hours per week with 4-hour overlap with PST timezone
