Remote Data Analyst

Role Overview Turing, a San Francisco-based AI research accelerator and enterprise AI partner, is seeking experienced Data Analysts to join benchmark-driven evaluation projects. This is a fully remote contractor role focused on analysing real-world machine learning outputs, defining performance metrics, and helping improve advanced AI systems. You will work at the intersection of data analysis and machine learning, bringing strong analytical rigour to production-like datasets and ML evaluation workflows. Key Responsibilities - Analyse structured and unstructured datasets generated from ML training, inference, and evaluation pipelines - Define, compute, and validate metrics to assess model performance and behaviour - Investigate data distributions, model outputs, failure modes, and edge cases relevant to benchmark tasks - Write and execute Python and SQL code to generate reports and support evaluation workflows - Validate data quality, consistency, and correctness across datasets and experiments - Produce well-documented analytical artefacts and reproducible analysis workflows - Collaborate with ML engineers and researchers to design challenging real-world evaluation scenarios for MLE Bench Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics-focused Engineer - Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis tasks - Solid hands-on experience with SQL and relational datasets - Demonstrated experience analysing ML outputs and evaluation metrics - Strong foundational knowledge of statistics and analytical reasoning - Ability to work with large, complex datasets and extract reliable insights - Excellent written and spoken English communication skills Why Join Us Turing gives you the flexibility to work fully remotely on cutting-edge AI projects in collaboration with leading LLM companies worldwide.
