Remote Data Analyst

Role Overview Turing, a San Francisco-based global leader in frontier AI research and enterprise AI deployment, is seeking experienced Data Analysts with a focus on MLE Bench evaluation projects. This is a remote contract opportunity where you will perform hands-on analytical work involving production-like datasets, machine learning outputs, and benchmark-driven evaluation workflows. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills and is comfortable working at the crossroads of data analysis and machine learning. Key Responsibilities - Analyze structured and unstructured datasets produced from ML training, inference, and evaluation pipelines - Define, compute, and validate performance metrics used to assess model behavior and quality - Investigate data distributions, model outputs, failure modes, and edge cases relevant to benchmark tasks - Write and execute Python and SQL code to analyze data, generate reports, and support evaluation workflows - Validate data quality, consistency, and accuracy across datasets and experiments - Produce well-documented analytical artifacts and reproducible analysis workflows - Collaborate with ML engineers and researchers to design challenging real-world evaluation scenarios for MLE Bench Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics-focused Engineer - Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis tasks - Solid hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases - Demonstrated experience analyzing ML outputs and evaluation metrics - Sound understanding of statistics and analytical reasoning - Ability to work with large and complex datasets to extract reliable insights - Experience writing clean, readable, and well-documented code - Excellent spoken and written English communication skills Why Join Us Turing offers you the flexibility of a fully remote work environment with the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading LLM companies and frontier research teams.
