Remote Data Analyst

Role Overview Turing, a San Francisco-based global leader in AI research acceleration and enterprise AI deployment, is seeking experienced Data Analysts with a focus on MLE Bench evaluation projects. This is a remote contract opportunity ideal for professionals who thrive at the intersection of data analysis and machine learning. You will contribute to benchmark-driven projects that evaluate and improve real-world AI systems using production-grade datasets and ML workflows. Key Responsibilities - Analyze structured and unstructured datasets sourced from ML training, inference, and evaluation pipelines - Define, compute, and validate performance metrics used to assess model behavior and outputs - Investigate data distributions, failure modes, edge cases, and anomalies relevant to benchmark evaluation tasks - Write and execute Python and SQL scripts to generate analytical reports and support evaluation workflows - Validate data quality, consistency, and accuracy across multiple datasets and experimental runs - Create well-documented, reproducible analytical artifacts and workflow summaries - Collaborate with ML engineers and researchers to design rigorous, real-world evaluation scenarios for MLE Bench Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics-focused Engineer - Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis tasks - Solid hands-on experience with SQL and relational database systems - Prior experience analyzing ML model outputs and evaluation metrics - Strong foundation in statistics and analytical reasoning - Ability to work with large, complex datasets and derive reliable, actionable insights - Experience writing clean, readable, and well-documented analytical code - Excellent spoken and written English communication skills Why Join Us Turing offers a fully remote working environment with the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge AI projects in collaboration with leading large language model companies worldwide.
