Remote C++ Developer

Role Overview Turing, one of the world's fastest-growing AI companies, is hiring experienced C++ developers to contribute to a cutting-edge LLM evaluation and training dataset project. This is a fully remote contract role where you will work on building verifiable software engineering tasks derived from real public repository histories using a synthetic, human-in-the-loop approach. You will play a key role in shaping how large language models interact with real-world codebases and influence the future of AI-assisted software development. Key Responsibilities - Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open-source libraries to identify suitable LLM evaluation tasks - Set up, configure, and Dockerize code repositories to create reproducible development environments - Evaluate unit test coverage and overall code quality across selected repositories - Run and modify codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug-fixing and problem-solving scenarios - Collaborate with AI researchers to identify repositories and issues that present meaningful challenges for LLMs - Mentor and lead junior engineers as needed on collaborative project tasks Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of hands-on software engineering experience - Strong proficiency in C++ with a solid understanding of modern development practices - Working knowledge of Git, Docker, and basic CI/CD or software pipeline setup - Ability to navigate and understand complex, large-scale codebases - Comfortable running, testing, and modifying real-world open-source projects in a local environment - Prior experience contributing to or evaluating open-source projects is an added advantage Why Join Us This role offers a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of practical software engineering and cutting-edge AI research, contributing directly to the advancement of powerful LLM systems.
