Remote C++ Developer

Role Overview Turing is one of the world's fastest-growing AI companies and is actively building LLM evaluation and training datasets to tackle realistic software engineering challenges. We are seeking experienced C++ developers at a tech lead level to contribute to a cutting-edge project that creates verifiable software engineering tasks from public repository histories using a synthetic, human-in-the-loop approach. Key Responsibilities - Analyze and triage GitHub issues across popular open-source libraries to identify suitable evaluation tasks - Set up, configure, and Dockerize code repositories to support automated development environments - Evaluate unit test coverage and overall test quality across various codebases - Run and modify real-world projects locally to assess LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios - Collaborate with AI researchers to identify repositories and issues that present meaningful challenges for LLMs - Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers on project deliverables as needed Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience - Strong hands-on experience with C++ - Proficiency with Git, Docker, and standard software pipeline setup - Ability to read, understand, and navigate complex codebases effectively - Comfortable running, modifying, and testing real-world software projects in a local environment - Experience contributing to or evaluating open-source projects is a plus - Prior involvement in LLM research, evaluation projects, or developer tooling automation is an added advantage Why Join Us This is a unique freelance opportunity to work at the intersection of practical software engineering and advanced AI research, contributing directly to how next-generation LLMs interact with real-world code.
