Remote C++ Developer

Role Overview Turing, one of the world's fastest-growing AI companies, is seeking an experienced C++ Developer to contribute to the development of LLM evaluation and training datasets. This is a fully remote contractor opportunity where you will work on building verifiable software engineering tasks using public repository histories, helping shape the future of AI-assisted development. You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to push the boundaries of how large language models interact with real-world codebases. Key Responsibilities - Analyze and triage GitHub issues across popular and trending open-source libraries - Set up and configure code repositories including Dockerization and development environment automation - Evaluate unit test coverage and assess overall code quality across projects - Run and modify codebases locally to measure LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios - Collaborate with AI researchers to identify repositories and issues that present meaningful challenges for LLMs - Lead and mentor junior engineers on collaborative project tasks where needed Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of hands-on software engineering experience - Strong proficiency in C++ with a solid understanding of production-level codebases - Working knowledge of Git, Docker, and software pipeline configuration - Ability to navigate and understand complex, large-scale open-source codebases - Comfortable running, testing, and modifying real-world projects in a local environment - Prior experience contributing to or evaluating open-source projects is an advantage Why Join Us This is a rare opportunity to blend practical software engineering expertise with cutting-edge AI research at a company that is accelerating the global deployment of powerful AI systems.
