Job Description

Role Overview Turing is one of the fastest-growing AI companies in the world, and we are looking for a skilled C++ Developer to join our remote contractor team. In this role, you will contribute to building high-quality LLM evaluation and training datasets designed to help large language models tackle realistic software engineering challenges. You will work on a synthetic dataset pipeline that uses public repository histories combined with human-in-the-loop validation to expand coverage across programming languages and task difficulty levels. Key Responsibilities - Analyze and triage GitHub issues from trending and well-maintained open-source libraries - Set up, configure, and Dockerize code repositories to create reliable development environments - Evaluate the quality and coverage of unit tests across various codebases - Run and modify real-world codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios - Collaborate with researchers to identify repositories and issues that present meaningful challenges for LLMs - Support and mentor junior engineers on collaborative project tasks as needed Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of overall software engineering experience - Strong hands-on expertise in C++ - Proficiency with Git, Docker, and standard software pipeline configuration - Ability to read, understand, and navigate complex and large-scale codebases - Comfortable running, modifying, and testing real-world projects in a local environment - Prior experience contributing to or evaluating open-source projects is an added advantage - Previous involvement in LLM research or evaluation is a plus - Experience building or testing developer tools or automation agents is a bonus Why Join Us This is a rare opportunity to combine practical software engineering with cutting-edge AI research at a company shaping the future of intelligent systems.
