QA Lead Manual - Loans and Disbursement

Role Overview Kumaran Systems, a global technology solutions provider specialising in IT services and digital transformation, is looking for a seasoned QA Lead with hands-on manual testing expertise in the Loans and Disbursement domain. The ideal professional will bring deep knowledge of Banking and Financial Services workflows, lead a team of QA engineers, and champion end-to-end quality across complex lending systems. Key Responsibilities - Define and execute the complete testing strategy for Loans and Disbursement modules, ensuring alignment with business logic and regulatory standards - Develop detailed test plans, risk assessments, and traceability matrices for each release cycle - Validate complex financial scenarios including credit scoring, loan onboarding, interest calculations, escrow management, and multi-channel disbursement such as ACH, Wire, and Check - Perform and oversee API testing using REST and SOAP protocols and conduct complex database validations to confirm data integrity and transaction accuracy - Lead, mentor, and review the work of QA engineers to nurture a culture of quality and accountability - Manage the complete defect lifecycle, prioritise issues based on financial and business impact, and liaise with development and product teams for timely resolution - Translate stakeholder requirements into effective and comprehensive test scenarios - Monitor test coverage, quality metrics, and ensure on-time delivery across all release milestones Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline - 8 or more years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on manual testing - Minimum 3 years in a QA Lead or Senior QA capacity - Strong hands-on background in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech domains - Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI with ability to validate JSON and XML responses - Strong SQL skills including complex joins, subqueries, and unions for backend and audit trail validation - Experience with test management tools like JIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail and log monitoring tools such as Splunk or CloudWatch - Solid understanding of the full lending lifecycle including origination, underwriting, servicing, and disbursement - Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies - Exposure to automation testing frameworks is an added advantage - Experience with distributed teams, regulatory compliance, and financial audit processes is preferred Why Join Us Kumaran Systems offers a dynamic and inclusive work culture with opportunities to work on global client engagements and advance your career in enterprise-level BFSI technology projects.
