QA - HIM Services

Role Overview CorroHealth has an opening for a QA - HIM Services analyst to manage medical coding audits and denials from a Work From Home setting. In this role, you will perform deep-dive analysis on denied claims, resolve pre-billing edits, and collaborate with physicians to improve clinical documentation. Key Responsibilities - Review and clear daily claims edits including NCCI, MUE, and LCD/NCD. - Perform root cause analyses on payer denials to identify error patterns. - Validate that medical records fully support the ICD-10 and CPT codes billed. - Educate coding staff and physicians on updated guidelines and documentation specificity. - Coordinate with billing and follow-up teams to execute claims appeals. - Utilize Excel and BI tools to track denial trends and generate monthly reports. - Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA standards. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, HIM, or related fields. - Five years of hands-on experience in medical coding, claims analysis, or audits. - Active professional coding credential such as CPC (AAPC) or CCS (AHIMA). - Life Sciences graduation or educational background in anatomy and physiology. - Strong analytical skills and experience using EHR software like Cerner or Epic.
