Performance Test Engineer

Role Overview Capgemini is seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer to join its Engineering and Quality Assurance division in Bengaluru. This is a full-time permanent opportunity suited for experienced professionals who specialise in performance and resiliency testing within large-scale IT environments. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise with industry-leading testing tools and a strong foundation in software development and quality assurance practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute comprehensive performance and load testing strategies using Apache JMeter and LoadRunner to evaluate application behaviour under varying conditions. Plan and manage end-to-end test campaigns, ensuring thorough coverage of technical and performance benchmarks. Analyse test results to identify bottlenecks, performance degradation, and system vulnerabilities, then communicate findings clearly to development and project teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate performance testing into the software development lifecycle. Maintain and continuously improve testing frameworks to support resiliency testing and ensure applications meet defined performance standards. 4 to 9 years of hands-on experience in performance testing and quality assurance Proficiency in Apache JMeter for load and performance test scripting and execution Strong working knowledge of LoadRunner for enterprise-level performance testing Experience conducting resiliency testing and evaluating system stability under stress Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage test campaigns from initiation to completion Familiarity with software development processes and the software testing lifecycle Capacity to perform detailed technical tests and interpret complex performance metrics Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised institution Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Strong communication skills to report test outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders
