Payroll Analyst

Role Overview Entain India is the technology and delivery arm of one of the world's leading sports and gaming groups, operating out of Hyderabad since 2001. As a Payroll Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless payroll operations across multiple entities, supporting accurate and timely compensation for employees worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance or HR analytics professional to grow within a globally scaled organisation. Key Responsibilities - Monitor payroll input files received through SharePoint and email to ensure timely processing before cut-off deadlines - Verify completeness and accuracy of all payroll inputs and oversee payroll imports prior to final processing runs - Audit and correct missing or inaccurate employee data in Oracle, including payment methods, national identifiers, and salary details - Investigate and resolve negative net pay cases and instances where employees were not paid during the processing week - Process non-starter purges in Oracle and coordinate with the HRIS team as required - Investigate timecard errors using Oracle and SAM tool data, validate elements, and compute time summaries for reconciliation - Identify and correct work pattern errors for Retail and Stadia employees, ensuring correct schedule assignments and roster groupings - Resolve absence-related errors and amend sickness hours in Oracle - Update employee bank details in Oracle and investigate bank-related payment errors - Respond to employee payroll queries within agreed timelines and attend payroll meetings to support ongoing projects - Perform enhanced pre-payroll validation checks and reconciliations to identify risks ahead of final processing - Analyse recurring payroll errors and collaborate with relevant teams to reduce repeat occurrences - Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce manual interventions and help maintain standard operating procedures - Communicate payroll risks, dependencies, and critical issues to the Payroll Team Leader and key stakeholders Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Computer Science (B.Sc) - Minimum 2 years of experience in HR analytics or payroll operations - Hands-on experience with at least one HRIS tool - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to query and interpret data Why Join Us Entain India offers a competitive compensation package along with a comprehensive benefits programme designed to support your wellbeing and career growth. - B.Com or B.Sc in Computer Science - Minimum 2 years of experience in HR analytics or payroll processing - Proficiency in at least one HRIS tool (Oracle preferred) - Advanced Excel skills including data querying and analysis - Strong attention to detail and ability to audit and correct complex data - Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams - Familiarity with time and attendance systems and payroll reconciliation processes
