Role Overview Scientific Games is seeking a Game Mathematician to design and wire complex game mechanics for our worldwide lottery customer base in Bengaluru. You will work closely with game designers to construct mathematical models, run simulations, and ensure that our e-instant game mechanics satisfy global regulatory compliance. This is a critical role for someone who wants to take game play experiences to the next level using statistical analysis. Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with game designers to create mathematical models that configure game features, option rules, and prize structures. - Create prototypes and run Monte Carlo simulations to analyze volatility, hit frequencies, and overall game performance. - Write simulation code and compile technical write-ups to document game probabilities and mechanics for third-party testing agencies. - Monitor market sales results and playership trends to continuously optimize mathematical models for player satisfaction. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. - Around 2 to 4 years of experience as a game mathematician, preferably within the lottery or casino gaming industries. - Proficient in programming and debugging using at least one language like C++, C, or Java. - 2 to 4 years of experience in game math, preferably with casino or lottery background. - Strong skills in combinatorial analysis, probability theory, RTP calculations, and volatility modeling. - Advanced knowledge of Excel for math model calculations and scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation. - Familiarity with complex mechanics such as nested bonuses, wild symbols, and progressive jackpots. - Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
